When we started our brand with the mission of upcycling textile wastage and converting the little pieces of premium fabric scraps into quirky and fun underwear for women, little did we figure that we were again creating some waste down the lane!

As more and more sustainability enthusiasts joined us on our mission, we sensitized ourselves about the single-use nature of undergarments! Much like single-use plastic, underwear is one such item of clothing that cannot be handed down, donated, thrifted or swapped – for hygiene reasons !!

This leads to a great amount of textile waste generated by the undergarment industry worldwide - in fact, according to popular reports -

clothes and other textiles made up almost 8% of all trash that was sent to landfills!

Fortunately, one day we came across our lovely partner – India Wasted.

So, we were in a bit of a dilemma what to do ?

As a brand practicing zero-waste manufacturing practices and making sure that even a shred of fabric that can be saved gets converted into beautiful products that have added value! We decided to take full responsibility of what we put into the system and focused on a solution to close the loop –

again, somehow!

1. This program is for taking back only underwear and not bras, bralettes, loungewear, socks, tights, leggings, etc.

2. You can give underwear from any other brands apart from Wear Equal as well.

3. In case, a Take Back Drive is not happening in your city and you are shipping your worn-out undies directly, you need to bear the shipping cost for the same.

4. In case you are shipping directly, you NEED to send the underwear with the Take Back Card stuck on the parcel

5. Both Wear Equal customers as well as subscribers will get the Loyalty Points

6. All items to be washed /cleaned. We cannot accept soiled/unclean items

7. Send atleast 10 worn-out undies in each packet
